| Back to Ozark Soap home |
Sylvan Solloway Reports Posted: December 16, 2001 by Sylvan Solloway WINSLOW, Ark. -- Ozark Soap Company makes hand crafted natural soaps with ingredients from the Ozarks and December 17th they're going worldwide with an Internet ordering site, just in time for Christmas. Twenty-one-year-old Matt Lodge runs the company with his parents. "We've been making soap as a hobby for two years and giving it as gifts, so we thought it was a real marketable product and one we believe in, so we decided to give it a go," explains Lodge. "It's a lot of fun, I put a lot of work into it, a lot of test batches, coming up with the perfect recipe." Lodge says he makes all the soaps in his home using natural ingredients like honey, olive oil and Ozark spring water. "For example, our Creamy Goats Milk soap contains 1/4 cup goats milk that comes from our neighbors goats," says Lodge. "Commercial soap is made from petroleum and they really cut costs. Our soap contains natural glycerin, which moisturizes your skin, it's more mild, more natural, more earth friendly and better to you." Lodge claims folks who try handcrafted soap will never go back to using store bought brands. Lodge says folks who logon to www.ozarksoap.com on December 17th should be able to have their gifts shipped in time for Christmas. |
